 How to use ferrous sulfate

In water treatment:

01. If it is used directly to remove suspended solids in wastewater, solid ferrous sulfate can be directly added into the coagulation tank, and then stirred to fully react, but it is not advisable to add too much.

02. When used as a coagulant or decolorizing agent, it is generally prepared into a 10%--25% aqueous solution and is fully dissolved. It is added in front of the primary sedimentation tank of wastewater treatment or behind the biochemical treatment to increase phosphorus and cod. removal effect.

02.In agriculture:

Ferrous sulfate can be used to improve soil pH or treat plant iron deficiency chlorosis. When using, mix ferrous sulfate with water about 500 times and pour it directly on the flower soil, or spray it on the leaves.

03. Notes:

When using ferrous sulfate, attention should be paid to the concentration and dosage. In water treatment, too high a concentration may lead to excessive precipitation of iron ions, causing the wastewater to turn yellow and increase the color. Excessive use in agriculture may cause damage to plants. After use, it should be shaded appropriately to avoid strong direct sunlight.

In addition, ferrous sulfate needs to be sealed and packaged during storage and transportation, and placed in a dry and ventilated place.
