Coconut shell activated carbon
Coconut shell activated carbon
Coconut shell activated carbon is made from high-quality coconut shells and processed through a series of production processes.
Coconut shell activated carbon is black in appearance and granular. It has the advantages of developed pores, good adsorption performance, high strength, easy regeneration, economical and durable, etc. It is the most effective in drinking water purification, chlorine removal, algae removal, oxygen absorption, and catalytic carrier. A type of carbon that is the first choice for water purifiers, filter fillers and other water purification equipment.
Coconut shell activated carbon mainly has the following categories:
1. High-quality coconut shell activated carbon. This product is widely used in fixed beds or mobile beds, and is widely used in central water purifiers, drinking water, and industrial water for decolorization, deodorization, and removal of organic matter and residual chlorine.
2. Activated carbon is used to extract gold, which is widely used in the carbon slurry method and heap leaching method to extract gold. This activated carbon for gold uses a special process to perform high-strength shaping of the activated carbon particles, which greatly improves the wear resistance of the product. It does not need to be pre-ground after entering the factory, and can be used directly after being rinsed with water.
3. LC type special activated carbon for free chlorine removal. Special LC type activated carbon for water purification is a composite type of activated carbon produced through a special process, with amorphous particles. Generally, the particles are between 12-40 mesh. The LC-type free chlorine removal special activated carbon has a removal rate of 99-100% of free chlorine.
4. RJ type activated carbon special for solvent recovery. RJ type solvent-specific activated carbon, particle size is 6-8 mesh (φ3mm). Its main features are: fast adsorption speed and low steam consumption for desorption. It is mainly used for the recovery of solvents such as gasoline, acetone, methanol, ethanol, and toluene.
5. ZH-03 granular sugar charcoal (physical method), a high-performance physical activated carbon made by high-temperature activation (converter), is used for decolorizing citric acid, sugar, and coking wastewater in the pharmaceutical industry. It can be regenerated after adsorption is saturated, and its adsorption performance is close to that of chemical powdered carbon.
6. Silver-loaded activated carbon. Silver-loaded activated carbon is a new technology water purification product that is specially fixed by exchanging silver ions into the pores of activated carbon. No acid or alkali is added in the silver-loaded activated carbon process, and the silver-loaded activated carbon contains only silver ions, not silver oxide, which truly has the effect of purifying water.
Precautions when transporting coconut shell activated carbon:
1. During transportation, coconut shell activated carbon must be prevented from being mixed with hard substances, and must not be stepped on to prevent the carbon particles from breaking and affecting the quality.
2. Storage should be stored on porous adsorbents, so water immersion must be absolutely prevented during transportation, storage and use, because after water immersion, a large amount of water will fill the active gaps, making it useless.
3. Coconut shell activated carbon prevents tar substances from being brought into the activated carbon bed during use, so as not to block the gaps of the activated carbon and cause it to lose its adsorption effect. It is best to have decoking equipment to purify the gas.
4. When storing or transporting fire-proof activated carbon, prevent direct contact with fire sources to prevent fire. Avoid oxygen intake during regeneration of activated carbon and regenerate thoroughly. After regeneration, it must be cooled with steam to below 80°C, otherwise the temperature will be high and it will encounter oxygen. Activated carbon ignites spontaneously.
