Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) Powder use Method
1. Preparation of Solution
Dissolving: Mix the PAC powder with water to create a solution. Typical concentrations range from 0.5% to 5%.
Mixing: Stir thoroughly to ensure complete dissolution. Allow for some time to achieve a homogeneous solution.
2. Dosage
Determination: The dosage depends on water quality, turbidity, and specific treatment goals. Conduct jar tests to determine optimal dosages.
Application: Typical dosages range from 5 to 50 mg/L, depending on the application.
3. Application in Water Treatment
Coagulation: Add the PAC solution to the water to facilitate the aggregation of suspended particles.
Flocculation: After initial mixing, gentle stirring promotes the formation of larger flocs.
4. Sedimentation
Settling: Allow sufficient time for the flocs to settle out of the water. This may take several hours depending on conditions.
Removal: Decant or filter the clarified water, separating it from the settled solids.
5. Post-Treatment
Monitoring: Test the treated water for residual aluminum and other parameters to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Adjustments: Based on testing, adjust dosage or treatment processes as necessary.
